Monday's Moments

I generally wake up full of joy and hope on Mondays.  It's like the whole week lies ahead with great potential.  Then I make breakfast and the kids start complaining and fighting, but in those first early moments, I really appreciate life!

Last Monday, I captured a couple on film.  See what you think:

Hard to see, but Isaac's eyelashes are gorgeous!  And I love how sweet he is when he first wakes up.  He was sitting by me, 'emailing' Dad.  His lush, long eyelashes caught my eye.

Spencer got these goblets at a yard sale, and shined them up as props for their play.  John put the 3 random pieces of produce that were sitting on the counter into them.  Simple, functional, artistic, random.  Love it!

I found this Trust Your Heart sign at the same yard sale as Spencer's goblets.  So simple.  I love it next to the Prophet's picture.  Makes me stop for just a moment each time I see it.

And, for my last Monday Moment, I'd like to remember riding my bike to the class I was to teach.  Yes, it was a 5 mile bike ride.  The kids left my keys in Marion's car and he took his car to work.  Luckily it wasn't raining, so the bike ride was actually pretty nice.  However, I chatted a little too long afterwards, and the 5 mile bike ride home took too long.  I kept thinking of the presentations I hadn't helped prepare, the kids who would leave before I returned, the lunch that hadn't been decided upon, the husband who was working at home, etc.  I tried to pedal faster, but man, by mile 4 (9) I just wanted to be done.
